A 5.1-magnitude earthquake hits northern Iran
At least 22 people were injured when a 5.1-magnitude earthquake occurred in the Ramiyan district of Iran's Golestan province at 02:04 on Monday night.
The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 9 kilometers, according to Iranian Seismological Center.
According to Iranian officials, at least 40 buildings suffered damage, some of them were completely destroyed.
Iran’s Red Crescent rescue teams are currently evaluating the damage situation in the five affected villages, the officials said. (ILKHA)
