512 people have died from coronavirus in the past 24 hours, rising the United States’ death toll from the virus to 187,891, according to Johns Hopkins University.

The U.S. has the highest death toll from coronavirus in the world, followed by Brazil with 121,515 deaths, India with 65,922 deaths and Mexico with 64,414 deaths.

6,217,573 people have until now tested positive for coronavirus in the country, an increase of 49,601 new cases in the past 24 hours.

Until now, at least 3,458,559 patients suffering from the pandemic have recovered and been discharged from hospital in the country.

At least 82,662,260 tests have been carried out to detect coronavirus infections in the country.

New York, which is being hit the hardest by the novel coronavirus in the U.S, has so far reported more than 466,118 confirmed cases, with at least 33,030 deaths.

According to Worldometer, a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, coronavirus pandemic has so far claimed the lives of at least 856,269 people across the world. (ILKHA)
