A plane crashes in Egypt: 2 dead
Egypt's Ministry of Civil Aviation reported that an aircraft crashed on touchdown at al-Gouna Airport on Thursday morning, killing the aircraft’s two pilots.
The media advisor to the Minister of Civil Aviation, Bassem Abdel Karam, stated that an Apollo Fox aircraft belonging to the Air Guy air sports company had had an accident on the landing corridor at El Gouna airport, where it was on a test flight.
The accident resulted in the deaths of the two pilots, pilot Akram El Hosary and pilot Mohamed Saeed.
Immediately, Pilot Muhammad Manar, Minister of Civil Aviation, issued a decision to form a specialized committee from the central administration to investigate accidents at the Ministry of Aviation to go to the site of the accident for initial inspection and to find out the causes of the accident, the ministry said.
