"We praise our Lord with the happiness of observing the Blessed Eid days that strengthen our bonds of love, brotherhood and solidarity and remind us of our innate nature. Unfortunately, the Holy Kaaba is deprived of the Muslims of the world because of the fact that Muslims cannot perform the Hajj (Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca) due to the pandemic we are experiencing today. The fact that Muslims in Syria, Palestine, Yemen, Arakan, East Turkestan and other Islamic regions live in hunger and misery as well as their blood is still being shed continues to leave our heart to bleed," Sağlam said.

"Our civilization, which looks at every aspect of the life in accordance with the innate nature of human being, is the only recipe for salvation from the calamities faced by humanity today.”

Sağlam continued his remarks as follows: "Muslim nations who have suffered fewer fatalities due to coronavirus pandemic than in the West receive the reward of adherence to the values offered by Islamic civilization such as material and spiritual purification, assistance and solidarity. Our civilization, which looks at every aspect of the life in accordance with the innate nature of Human beign, is the only recipe for salvation from the calamities faced by humanity today.”

In his message, Sağlam also urge Muslims to put aside their all disagreements and differences for the sake of these blessed days and to make efforts to establish a fair and justice-based system of government.

"On this occasion, I congratulate all Muslims, especially those in our country, on Eid al-Adha and wish from Allah the Almighty to have better Eids that we will embrace with sincerity," Sağlam concluded. (ILKHA)
