United States' death toll from coronavirus cases reaches 143,321
412 people have died from coronavirus in the pat 24 hours, rising the United States’ death toll from the virus to 143,321, according to Johns Hopkins University.
The U.S. has the highest death toll from coronavirus in the world, followed by Brazil with 79,535 deaths, the United Kingdom with 45,300 deaths and Mexico with 39,184 deaths.
3,901,026 people have until now tested positive for coronavirus in the country, an increase of 65,279 new cases in the past 24 hours.
Until now, at least 1,802,338 patients suffering from the pandemic have recovered and been discharged from hospital in the country.
At least 48,341,735 tests have been carried out to detect coronavirus infections in the country.
New York, which is being hit the hardest by the novel coronavirus in the U.S, has so far reported more than 434,164 confirmed cases, with at least 32,570 deaths.
According to Worldometer, a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, coronavirus pandemic has so far claimed the lives of at least 609,835 people across the world. (ILKHA)
