Speaking at a ceremony marking the start of the construction of the production facility of Turkey’s Automobile, President Erdoğan said: “Turkey’s Automobile has resonated in not only our country but in many parts of the world.”

Reminding that Turkey’s Automobile was publicized and the prototypes were shared with the public last December, President Erdoğan said: “Turkey’s Automobile has resonated in not only our country but in many parts of the world. We plan to complete the construction of the factory in 18 months and take our vehicle from the production line in the last quarter of 2022. Thus, Europe’s first and only ever originally electric SUV will hit the road from Turkey.”

Drawing attention to the efforts exerted despite the coronavirus pandemic to realize a dream of many years, President Erdoğan stated: “In a period during which the whole world has stopped or suspended investments, we, as Turkey, have sped up our projects in all fields, from healthcare, transportation and agriculture to industry, energy and environment.” (ILKHA)
