Condemning China government for its policy on Muslim minority, Sağlam said: “The Chinese regime's human rights violations such as the assimilation of Muslims in East Turkestan, the interference with the family privacy, the obstruction of the right to worship and the confiscation of private property, as well as the genocide against Kazakhs and Uighurs, continue with “population planning” steps. The drop in the birth rate to more than 60% in some minority-dominated areas reveals that the Chinese government has implemented a systematic policy to prevent the growth of the minority population. The practice of concentration camps, which were touted as an educational center to the world but where Muslim minorities were subjected to ethnic and religious assimilation and torture, was also aimed at changing the demographic structure.”

“Encouraged by the failure of human right organizations and states to show the necessary reaction against the genocide activities against Muslim minorities, China continues to increase its violations day by day. Turkey, which give priority to bilateral economic relations with China, has also been ignoring these rights violations for years. In order to enact sanctions that deter China's illegal isolation and assimilation, every state and organization needs to take urgent action against the violations. Otherwise, the Muslim population, which is subject to any kind of violation of rights, will go into the process of extinction.”

Astana Summit

Touching upon the Astana Summit, which was carried out with the participation of Turkey, Russia and Iran, Sağlam said: “While it is important to declare the will for a political solution at the Astana summit with the participation of Turkey, Iran and Russia, the consensus reached so far has not been implemented in the field and the parties have not fulfilled their responsibilities. No weapons evacuation was achieved from areas agreed to as conflict-free zones in the agreements, and military operations continued to target civilians. It is not possible to reach a solution and to ensure the safety of civilians as long as the violent continues.  In order for the agreements reached in diplomatic negotiations to be implemented in the field, the parties must take steps to ensure the safety of civilians. As long as military operations continue, it is not possible to implement the agreement and to protect civilians. In the next period, negotiations and reconstruction activities should be initiated immediately and Syria should be secured. Turkey and Iran should assume greater responsibility as guarantor countries for the solution of the Syrian crisis.

The annexation plan of zionist occupation regime

Criticizing Islamic countries for their inadequate reaction against the annexation plan of zionist occupation regime, Sağlam said: “Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories continue to be occupied and annexed despite all international treaties and universal law. There is no will from Islamic countries to stop the occupation except for the messages of condemnation and ‘solidarity with the Palestinian people’. This makes the occupation regime even more courageous. The West Bank, where 430 thousand Jews live in 132 illegal settlements along with 3 million Palestinians, has been under occupation since 1967. Annexation is only a matter of time. Calls for assistance by Palestinians against the annexation plan have so far failed to get any serious response. An urgent action plan must be put in place to prevent the annexation of the West Bank and the Jordan Valley. The Islamic countries should immediately come together and seek solutions.” (ILKHA)
