China sends satellite for environmental study
China successfully sent Sunday a satellite for space environment study into the planned orbit from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China.
According to the center, the satellite was launched by a Long March-2D carrier rocket at 7:44 a.m.
The satellite, which has entered its preset orbit, is the second satellite of the Shiyan-6 series.
It will be used for space environment exploration and related technical experiments. (ILKHA)
