149 people have died from coronavirus over the past 24 hours, rising the United Kingdom's death toll from the virus to 43,906, the country’s Department of Health and Social Care announced on Wednesday.
“As of 9am 1 July, there have been 9,662,051 tests, with 226,398 tests on 30 June. 313,483 people have tested positive. As of 5pm on 30 June, of those tested positive for coronavirus, across all settings, 43,906 have sadly died,” the department tweeted.
Meanwhile, a new coronavirus walk-through site has opened at Bridge Community Church in Leeds. People with coronavirus symptoms can book a free swab test at the Burmantofts site.
Global death toll from coronavirus has reached 516,268, with at least 10,680,651 confirmed cases and 5,849,664 recoveries, according to Worldometer, a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics. (ILKHA)
