HÜDA PAR: There is a need for policies that would ensure unity among Muslims
In his weekly written statement, HÜDA PAR Chairman İshak Sağlam made important assessments on the highlights of the foreign agenda, drawing attention to the problems that exist in the Islamic geography.
In the statement, Sağlam addressed the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Yusuf al-Useymin’s remarks targeting the Muslim Brotherhood, the United States’ Country Reports on Terrorism 2019 as well as the developments in Libya.
Stating that the Organizations such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and Arab League did not solve the existing problems with their statements, Sağlam said: “Yusuf al-Useymin, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, said the Muslim Brotherhood was more dangerous than ISIS, saying it needed to be fought to prevent it from penetrating society. The OIC, which is unable to show its presence against the conflicts, chaos, economic problems and pandemics that exist in the Islamic world, is moving away from the fundamental problems of the Islamic world every day by producing artificial agendas. The organization, which is unable to show its presence in areas where the civilian population is subject to massacres and embargoes, especially in Palestine, Yemen and Syria, is deepening the conflicts by targeting the reformist movements that embrace the nonviolent struggle. Along with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Arab League, which has ignored Zionist occupation activities in the region, has also taken decisions targeting Turkey and Iran. Organizations such as the OIC and the Arab League, which go beyond their founding purpose and make statements in the direction of imperialist and Zionist interests, should focus on solving problems rather than inciting conflicts. There is a need for policies that would ensure unity among Muslims.
“It has become inevitable to development a global cooperation against sanctions”
Referring to the occupier United States’ Country Reports on Terrorism 2019, Sağlam said U.S. perception of threats varied in parallel with its interests.
Describing the report as tragicomic, Sağlam continued as follows: “The United States’ Country Reports on Terrorism 2019 stated that ISIS is becoming a global network, while Iran, Sudan, North Korea and Syria have also been identified as sponsors of terrorism. The perception of threats to the United States, which carries out occupation activities in many parts of the world and violates national borders with spot operations, varies in parallel with its interests. This report issued by the United States, the main supporter of the zionist occupation regime, which carried out occupation and genocide activities in violation of international law and treaties, is tragicomic. The lists, shaped by US interests, lay the groundwork for embargoes and military moves. The latest report shows that the United States will increase its military activities in the region under the pretext of fighting against ISIS. The United States imposed sanctions on some states and international organizations using its economic and political hegemony, and finally took a decision paving the way for sanctions to be imposed on officials of the International Criminal Court. It has become inevitable to development a global cooperation against sanctions, which harm some states and international organizations.”
"Turkey and Egypt must foil the plots of France in Libya"
Point out the recent developments in Libya, Sağlam emphasized that the new strategies of France and imperialist countries were to make Turkey and Egypt fight over Libya.
Sağlam concluded his remarks as follows: “As with all Western-backed coups, the putschist Sisi administration pursues policies that prioritize the interests of those who bring him to power, not the interests of the Egyptian people. While the people are struggling with hunger and misery, he is taking billions of dollars of weapons and warships from foreign countries, giving the Egyptian people's money to the imperialist powers. He supported Haftar, a putschist like himself, instead of the legitimate UN-recognized Government of National Accord. With Turkey's support of the GNA in Libya, the Libyan army made significant gains. The new strategies of France and imperialist countries that want to continue the colonial system in Africa are to make Turkey and Egypt fight over Libya. The Egyptian people, who remained under Ottoman rule for 400 years, has historical, political, cultural relations with Anatolian people. If Egypt and Turkey, the two powerful countries of the Islamic geography, go to war over Libya, it will be disastrous not only for the two countries but for all Islamic geography. Sisi is a putschist, but Egypt is not just Sisi. Turkey and Egypt must foil the plots of France in Libya. We call on Sisi and the sane Egyptian rulers to give up to collaborate with imperialist powers, to focus to their people’s problems and to contribute to the peace and tranquility of the region by cooperating with the legitimate government of Libya.” (ILKHA)
