A 6.2 magnitude earthquake hit Japan
A 6.2 magnitude earthquake has hit off the east coast of Chiba Prefecture in Japan at 04:47 on Thursday, the country’s meteorological agency announced.
The epicenter of the earthquake was at a latitude of 35.5 degrees north and a longitude of 141.2 degrees east, and at a depth of 30 km, according to the agency.
There have been no reports of fatalities or major damage to buildings.
No tsunami warning was issued. (ILKHA)
