One Turkish soldier was killed, two others injured due to harassment fire in the Yüksekova district of Turkey’s southeastern Hakkari province, the country’s defense minister said in a statement on Monday.
“During the reconnaissance and surveillance activities carried out in the Hakkari/Yüksekova border area on 23 June 2020, one of our heroic fellow soldiers was martyred and two others were injured due to harassment fire from Iranian territory,” the statement said.
