“It is alarming that the US and PYD are sides in the efforts to forge unity among Kurds”
In his weekly statement on foreign policy, HÜDA PAR Chairman İshak Sağlam made important assessments on the efforts to establish unity among Kurdish political parties in northeast Syria.

"The fact that the United States is leading the efforts to build national unity among Kurds is frightening,” Sağlam said.
Stating that they are carefully following unity talks between Syrian Kurds, Sağlam said: “We want to see fair governments in our geography where there is no blood, tears, oppression, persecution and emigration, where every right holder has his right and everyone feels secure. But it is appalling that the United States, which cares nothing but its own interests, is leading this process. Furthermore, it is alarming that the PYD, which has been responsible for the murder, abduction and deportation of over 700 thousand Syrian Kurdish people since the start of the crisis in Syria, has also been a side in unity talks.”
Underlining that all Kurdish people should be represented fairly in a Kurdish alliance, Sağlam concluded his remarks as follows: “There is no guarantee that the PYD will comply with the agreement. The fair representation of all Kurds in the alliance and the elimination of the domination of the armed groups are the most important conditions of a permanent alliance among Kurdish groups.” (ILKHA)
