Two Palestinian women in solitary confinement at Ramla jail for 12th day
The zionist occupation gangs at Ramla jail continues to keep two Palestinian women under harsh conditions in solitary confinement for the 12th day in a row.
Palestinian detainees Fadwa Hamada and Jihan Hsheima have been placed in solitary confinement for confronting a zionist guard who violently assaulted one of the prisoners.
Fadwa Hamada was arrested in 2017 and sentenced to 10 years in jail, while Jihan Hsheima was arrested in 2016 and sentenced to four years. Hsheima is still suffering from a bullet injury she sustained during her arrest.
Zionist gangs hold about 40 Palestinian girls and women in its jails under inhumane conditions, the longest-serving of whom is Amal Taqatqa who has been detained since 2014.
Shatila Abu Eiada and Shorouq Dweikat are serving the highest prison term, which is 16 years.
Over the years, zionist occupation gangs have arrested over 16,000 Palestinian women. During the Frist Intifada alone, about 3,000 were arrested. (ILKHA)
