A 5.7-magnitude earthquake hits eastern Turkey
A 5.7 magnitude earthquake jolted eastern Turkey at 5.24 p.m. local time on Sunday, the country’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority announced.

According to the agency, the epicenter of the quake was the Karlıova district of Bingöl province, at a depth of 5 kilometers.
The quake was also felt in near provinces such as Erzurum, Diyarbakır, Muş and Elazığ.
A watchtower in the Karlıova-Kaynarpınar Gendarmerie Station Command collapsed and a security guard has been trapped under the debris while two other people were slightly hurt, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu said. (ILKHA)
