Brazil’s death toll from coronavirus rises to 36,044
Brazil have reported 904 new deaths from coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 36,044.
The number of confirmed cases has reached 676,494, an increase of 27,581 cases in the last 24 hours.
Brazil ranks second in the world in terms of total cases, behind the United States and has become the country with the fourth highest number of coronavirus-related deaths
While at least 8,318 patients are being treated in intensive care units, more than 302,084 patients suffering from coronavirus have been discharged from hospital after being cured.
Sao Paulo, the country’s most-populated state, continues to be the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic in Brazil. The state has so far reported more than 123,483 confirmed coronavirus cases, with at least 8,276 deaths. (ILKHA)
