Iran reports 66 deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours
The number of deaths from coronavirus pandemic has risen to 7,249 in Iran after 66 new deaths were reported, the country’s Health Ministry Spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour announced on Thursday.
2,392 new cases, 82% of which have been mild ones, were confirmed with coronavirus, taking the number of confirmed cases to 129,341 in the country, according to Kianoush Jahanpour.
2,655 patients are in critical condition and of those suffering from the disease, 100,564 patients have gained recovery.
So far, 746,045 tests have been taken across the country to detect infected cases.
On the other hand, according to Iran’s Deputy Health Minister Qassem Janbabai, around 10,000 health workers have been infected with the deadly disease in the country and some of them have died.
According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 330,082 with 5,108,869 cases and more than 2,037,602 recoveries. (ILKHA)
