Iran’s death toll from coronavirus rises to 7,119
The number of deaths from coronavirus pandemic has risen to 7,119 in Iran after 62 new deaths were reported, the country’s Health Ministry Spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour announced on Tuesday.
2,111 new cases were confirmed with coronavirus, taking the number of confirmed cases to 124,603 in the country, according to Kianoush Jahanpour.
2,698 patients are in critical condition and of those suffering from the disease, 97,173 patients have gained recovery.
So far, 716,176 tests have been taken across the country to detect infected cases.
According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 320,448 with 4,910,671 cases and more than 1,919,150 recoveries. (ILKHA)
