5 policemen killed, 7 others wounded in Afghanistan
5 policemen were killed and seven others wounded when some gunmen in police uniform attacked a checkpoint in Maruf district of southern Kandahar province on Tuesday.

According to the provincial police spokesman Jamal Barikzai, 3 attackers who obviously served as Taliban’s infiltrators within the police rank carried out the attack the crime at around 2:30 a.m. local time, killing 5 police and wounding 7 others.
2 attackers were killed in the firefight and the third one escaped, Barikzai said.
The wounded policemen were taken to hospital.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack. (ILKHA)
