Turkey’s chicken meat production was 191 thousand 629 tons in March 2020
Turkey’s chicken meat production was 191 thousand 629 tons, hen egg production was 1.7 billion units, the country’s statistical institute said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the statement, Turkey meat production increased by 17.2%, number of the slaughtered chicken increased by 10.5%, chicken meat production increased by 9.3%, and hen egg production decreased by 2.8% in March compared with the same month of the previous year.
Chicken meat production increased by 9.1%, number of the slaughtered chicken increased by 7.7%, turkey meat production increased by 2.3%, and hen egg production increased by 1.1% in January-March period compared with the same period of the previous year.
Chicken meat production increased by 10.9% in March compared with the previous month, and realized as 191 thousand 629 tons.
Number of the slaughtered chicken increased by 13.2% in March compared with the previous month, and realized as 110 million 302 thousand units.
Hen egg production decreased by 1.3% in March compared with the previous month, and realized as 1.7 billion units.
Turkey meat production increased by 20% in March compared with the previous month, and realized as 5 thousand 86 tons. (ILKHA)
