Domestic producer price index increases by 6.71% on annual basis in Turkey
Domestic producer price index (D-PPI) increased by 6.71% on annual basis, increased by 1.28% on monthly basis in Turkey, the country’s statistical institute announced in a statement on Monday.
D-PPI (2003=100) increased by 1.28% on monthly basis, increased by 4.54% on December of the previous year basis, increased by 6.71% on same month of the previous year basis and increased by 10.87% on the twelve months moving averages basis in April 2020.
Manufacturing increased by 6.27% annually
D-PPI in four main sectors of industry increased by 7.44% for mining and stone quarrying, increased by 6.27% for manufacturing, increased by 12.86% for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, increased by 4.57% for water supply, annually.
The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 7.52% for intermediate goods, increased by 10.40% for durable consumer goods, increased by 11.02% for non-durable consumer goods, decreased by 11.25% for energy, increased by 11.16% for capital goods, annually.
Manufacturing increased by 1.41% monthly
D-PPI in four main sectors of industry increased by 0.22% for mining and stone quarrying, increased by 1.41% for manufacturing, increased by 0.31% for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, decreased by 0.53% for water supply, monthly.
The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 3.00% for intermediate goods, increased by 2.40% for durable consumer goods, increased by 1.18% for non-durable consumer goods, decreased by 7.97% for energy, increased by 2.91% for capital goods, monthly.
The highest annual decrease was in coke and refined petroleum products by 50.51%
The highest rates of annual decrease in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for coke and refined petroleum products by 50.51%, for crude petroleum and natural gas by 39.20. On the other hand, the highest rates of annual increase in D-PPI by sub divisions of industry were for tobacco products by 34.34%, for metal ores by 23.20%, for other manufactured goods by 18.67%.
The highest monthly decrease was in coke and refined petroleum products by 28.46%
The highest rates of monthly decrease in D-PPI by subdivisions of industry were index for coke and refined petroleum products by 28.46%, for crude petroleum and natural gas by 27.71%, for water; water treatment and supply services by 0.53%. On the other hand, the highest rates of monthly increase in D-PPI by sub divisions of industry were metal ores by 8.03%, for paper and paper products by 6.71%, for other manufactured goods by 5.28%.
