47 coronavirus patients lost their lives in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 6,203 in the country.

976 new cases were confirmed with coronavirus, taking the number of confirmed cases to 97,424 in the country, according to Kianoush Jahanpour.

Some 2,690 patients are being treated in intensive care units at the moment.

Until now, 78,422 patients suffering from the novel coronavirus have recovered and been discharged from hospitals, Jahanpour added.

So far, 496,273 tests have been taken across the country to detect infected cases. (ILKHA)
