Death toll form coronavirus rises to 20,732 in the United Kingdom
413 people have died from coronavirus pandemic in the past 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 20,732, according to the United Kingdom’s the Department of Health and Social Care.

“As of 9am 26 April, 669,850 tests have concluded, with 29,058 tests on 25 April. 543,413 people have been tested of which 152,840 tested positive. As of 5pm on 25 April, of those hospitalized in the UK who tested positive for coronavirus, 20,732 have sadly died,” the Department announced on its Twitter account on Sunday.
Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) spread to the United Kingdom in January. Transmission within the UK was confirmed in February, leading to an epidemic with a rapid increase in cases in March.
The U.K. closed all schools except for children of key workers and vulnerable children. And all restaurants, pubs, clubs and indoor sport and leisure facilities were ordered to close, though delivery and take-out chains were allowed to remain open. (ILKHA)
