WHO: The number of coronavirus cases stabilizes in Turkey
"Thanks to the measures taken at very early stages in Turkey, the number of cases has begun to slow down in the country, “ said Dr. Catherine Smallwood, WHO's senior emergencies officer for Europe on Thursday.
“Number of new Covid-19 cases have begun to slow down or stabilize in Turkey thanks to measures taken during the early stages of the pandemic in the country. We are cautiously optimistic about Turkey,” she said.
As of 22 April 2020, the total number of confirmed cases in the country is over 98,700, of which 16,500 have recovered and 2,400 have died. (ILKHA)
