US: At least 1,701 people die of coronavirus in the last 24 hours

The U.S. has the highest death toll from coronavirus in the world, followed by Italy and Spain.
Until now, 72,410 patients suffering from the pandemic have recovered and been discharged from hospital in the country.
New York, which is being hit the hardest by the novel coronavirus in the U.S, has so far reported more than 258,589 confirmed cases, with at least 19,118 deaths.
