At least 1081 sailors on French aircraft carrier contracts coronavirus
At least 1,081 sailors on the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle have tested positive for coronavirus, according to Chief of French Navy, Christophe Prazuck.
Of those confirmed cases, more than 500 sailors reported symptoms.
The Charles de Gaulle, which carries a crew of 1,800, pulled into port last week at Toulon Naval Base in southern France.
General François Lecointre, Chief of the Defense Staff, stated that the light had yet to be shed on the conditions in which 60% of the crew of the nuclear aircraft carrier had been contaminated with the coronavirus pandemic. (ILKHA)
