Agricultural input price index rises by 8.97% in Turkey
Agricultural input price index increased by 8.97% annually and 0.47% monthly in Turkey, Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the statement, agriculture input price index rise increased by 0.47% compared to previous month, increased by 1.58% compared to December of the previous year, increased by 8.97% compared to same month of the previous year and increased by 13.39% compared to twelve month averages, in February 2020.
Monthly changes with respect to previous month by main groups, goods and services currently consumed in agriculture index increased by 0.43% and goods and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 0.72%.The goods and services currently consumed in agricultural index increased by 8.84% and goods and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 9.77% compared to same month of the previous year.
The highest annual decrease was realized 1.55% in fertilizer and soil improvers subgroup
The other subgroups that indicated a decrease were plant protection and pesticides with 0.95%, veterinary expenses with 0.91%. On the other hand, animal feedingstuffs with 9.74%, materials with 10.66% and seeds and planting stock with 14.03% subgroups where high annual increases realized.
The highest monthly decrease was 1.58% in energy; lubricants subgroup
The other subgroups that indicated high monthly decrease were veterinary expenses with 1.22%, other goods and services with 0.70% and plant protection and pesticides with 0.51% compared to previous month. In February 2020, maintenance of materials with 0.88%, materials with 0.93% and animal feedingstuffs with 1.87 were the subgroups where high monthly increases realized. (ILKHA)
