USA’s death toll from coronavirus surges pass 33,000
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases has reached 670,031 in the country, an increase of 35,048.

The U.S. has the highest death toll with more than 33,000 fatalities, followed by Italy 22,170 deaths.
Until now, 56,236 patients suffering from the pandemic have recovered and have been discharged from hospital in the country.
New York, which is being hit the hardest by the novel coronavirus in the U.S, has so far reported more than 223,000 confirmed cases, with at least 15,000 deaths.
On the other hand, the U.S. President Donald Trump asserted on Thursday that the country has passed the peak of new coronavirus cases and claimed that some states would reopen this month.
“We'll be the comeback kids, all of us. We want to get our country back,” he said.
According to Worldometer, a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, coronavirus pandemic has so far claimed the lives of more than 147,378 people across the world. (ILKHA)
