HAMAS: No prisoner swap deal in the offing
Member of Hamas’s political bureau Mousa Dudeen has categorically denied that his Movement will reach a prisoner swap deal with the Israeli occupation government soon, describing the news reports in this regard as “untrue.”
In a press release on Sunday, Dudeen affirmed that his Movement had not yet seen any serious steps on the part of the Israeli government in dealing with this file, but it still welcomes any mediation efforts to facilitate a swap deal.
He renewed the initiative that had been made recently by Hamas chief in Gaza Yahya al-Sinwar about making some concessions on a new prisoner swap deal on condition that the Israeli side take practical steps on the issue. (ILKHA)
