As coronavirus outbreak escalates in the U.S., Trump warns against “a lot of death”
The U.S. President Donald Trump warned "there will be a lot of death" at his daily White House briefing on Saturday.
His statements came as the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the U.S. surged pass 300,000, with more than 8,000 deaths.
630 people have died due to coronavirus pandemic in the last 24 hours in New York state, the epicenter of the outbreak in the United States.
The state now has almost over 113,000 confirmed coronavirus cases.
Globally, 1,204,027 people have so far tested positive for coronavirus, with 64,790 deaths. (ILKHA)
