156 Turkish nationals die from coronavirus abroad, Foreign Minister says
Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Çavuşoğlu said the number of Turkish citizens who died from the outbreak of new coronavirus abroad had reached 156.
“We have evacuated about 25,000 our citizens from 55 countries until now,” he noted.
“We will start evacuate our citizens from Saudi Arabia with two flights from Jeddah. There are about 2,000 applications. We also have around 360 umrah visitors there. Even the smallest countries have evacuated their citizens. Of course, a state like Turkey should not leave its struggling citizens abroad,” he added.
Underlining that the quarantine period in Turkey is also strictly enforced, Çavuşoğlu said that they have to think about the health of their citizens in the country. (ILKHA)
