Trump extends social distancing guidelines on coronavirus to April 30
The better you do, the faster this whole nightmare will end, said US President Donald Trump during a press conference on the coronavirus pandemic on Sunday.
“The peak in death rate is likely to hit in two weeks. So, I'll say it again, the peak, the highest point of death rates, remember, this is likely to hit in two weeks. Therefore, the next two weeks and during this period it's very important that everyone strongly follow the guidelines,” Trump warned.
2.2 million people were expected to die if we didn't do anything but if we come out of this process with 100 thousand to 200 thousand deaths, which is far below that, we have done a good job,” he added.
As of Sunday, there are more than 140,000 confirmed coronavirus cases in the United States, and at least 2,457 deaths. (ILKHA)
