Angela Merkel tests negative for coronavirus
German chancellor Angela Merkel has tested negative for coronavirus, state radio Deutschlandfunk said on Monday.
After a doctor who had previously treated her tested positive for the coronavirus, Merkel announced on Monday that she was going into self-isolation.
The coronavirus pandemic was confirmed to have been transmitted to Germany on January 27, when the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in Bavaria.
Public gatherings of more than two people have been banned in the country.
Germany has so far reported 27,546 cases, 115 deaths and 422 recoveries. (ILKHA)
