Italy government took action  to contain tackle a coronavirus outbreak that has so far affected at least 9,000 people and left 463 dead, putting the whole of the country under quarantine.

Chabahar, a city of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, has been put under quarantine in Iran due to the outbreak, which has claimed the lives of 237 people, with 7,161 infected.

There have been 595 new cases and 43 deaths in the country in the last 24 hours.

Saudi Arabia announced on Monday evening five new cases infected with coronavirus, increasing the total number in the country to 20. It also closed off air and sea travel to nine countries affected by the new coronavirus. 

France has confirmed 1,412 cases. Of those, 30 patients were killed by the outbreak. The country's Culture Minister Franck Riester were infected by the coronavirus outbreak, a source close to the ministry said on Monday.

In Spain, at least 1200 people has been infected by the virus, with 29 deaths. All educational İnstitutions were closed in the country to respond a surge in the number of coronavirus cases.

After the deaths of two more people in the UK, the total number of deaths from coronavirus outbreak has risen to five, with 319 confirmed cases.

The number of confirmed cases has reached to 239 in Belgium, where there are several EU intuitions as well as NATO headquarters.

708 people have been tested positive for coronavirus in the USA, with 27 deaths. (ILKHA)
