One of the three countries with lowest access to clean water close to home on the world is Uganda, where 51 percent of population lack access to safe water and 82 percent do not have access to improved sanitation facilities.

European Yetim Eli, which is continuing its relief efforts, helping the needy and the orphan around the world, have built fresh water wells for people have no access to clean water in Uganda

Speaking to İLKHA News Agency about the wells that they have built, Deputy Chairman of European Yetim Eli Hüseyin Ateş stated: "Our relief work in Uganda continues. Today we inaugurated 7 water wells in different regions. The wells will supply water to 7,000 people. Those people would not have to walk several kilometers for clean water. May Allah accept from us."

Ateş called on the philanthropists, saying: "We expect everyone's support. Our water wells weren't just limited to Africa. We are drilling water wells in Somalia, Kenya, Arakan refugee camps, Bangladesh, Palestine and many countries of Africa. We expect support from everyone. We thank our benefactors so much. May Allah accept from them."

The imams of the mosque thanked the philanthropists for the water wells drilled next to their mosques and said they expected support from the philanthropists for the repair of their mosques. (ILKHA)
