Death toll from Coronavirus outbreak increases to 43 in Iran
The corornavirus outbreak has killed 43 with 593 confirmed cases in Iran, said the Health Ministry spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour on Saturday.
"205 new cases were confirmed in last 24 hours. 123 patients have been cured and discharged from hospital," he said.
On the other hand, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani urged all nations and governments across the world to stand by each other and help fight the coronavirus outbreak of coronavirus and tackle the problem effectively as soon as possible.
The virus, which have so far claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 people, was first detected in Wuhan city, Central China, in December 2019. It is believed to have originated from wild animals, passing to humans due to the wildlife trade and wet markets. The virus spread to other China provinces in early and mid-January 2020, helped by the Chinese new year migration.
WHO declared the new coronavirus outbreak as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on January 31. (ILKHA)
