There is no change in Turkey’s policy towards refugees, Foreign Ministry says
As the world’s largest refugee hosting country, there is no change in Turkey’s policy towards refugees and asylum seekers, said the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Hami Aksoy, in a statement on Friday.
He stated that latest developments in Idlib resulted in the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people and further increased the migration pressure on Turkey.
"In this respect, some asylum seekers and migrants in Turkey, who were concerned with these developments, started to move towards our Western borders. If the situation exacerbates, this risk will further increase," he warned. (ILKHA)
