The mortgaged house sales throughout Turkey became 42 237 by increasing 546.1% compared to the same month of the previous year. House sales with mortgage had a 37.2% share of all house sales in Turkey. İstanbul has the highest mortgage house sales in Turkey with 7 615 sales and with the share of 18.0%. The least other house sales was realized in Ardahan and Hakkari with 2 house sales.

Ownership of 71 378 houses changed by other sales

Other house sales in Turkey became 71 378 by increasing 7.5% compared to the same month of the previous year. In the other sales, İstanbul was the first province with 13 636 sales and 19.1% share. Other house sales had 64.2% share of all house sales in İstanbul. Ankara was the second province with 6 759 sales. Ankara was followed by Antalya with 4 198 sales. The least other house sales was realized in Hakkari with 5 house sales.

36 040 of houses were sold for the first time

First house sales in Turkey became 36 040 by increasing 16.1% compared to the same month of the previous year. First house sales had 31.7% share of all house sales in Turkey. The most first house sales was in İstanbul with 6 599 sales. İstanbul was the first province in Turkey ranking that had most first house sales share with 18.3%. Second hand house sales in Turkey became 77 575 by increasing 85.2% compared to the same month of the previous year. In the second hand sales, İstanbul was the first province again with 14 652 sales and 18.9% share. Share of the second hand sales was 68.9% in İstanbul in total house sales. Ankara was the second province with 8 790 sales and Ankara was followed by İzmir with 4 993 sales.

In January 2020, 3 907 houses were sold to foreigners

In house sales to foreigners became 3 907 by increasing 23.3% compared to the same month of the previous year. İstanbul was the first province with 1 875 sales in January 2020. The followers of İstanbul were Antalya with 762 house sales, Ankara with 235 house sales, Bursa with 163 house sales and Yalova with 128 house sales.

Most house sales were made to Iraqi citizens according to country nationalities
