Retail sales volume rises by 11.0% on annual basis in Turkey
Retail sales volume with constant prices increased by 11.0% in December 2019 compared with the same month of previous year, Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) said on a statement on Thursday.
According to the statement, in the same month food, drinks and tobacco sales increased by 5.3%, non-food (except automotive fuel) sales increased by 15.5%, automotive fuel sales increased by 7.8%.
Retail sales volume increased by 1.1% on monthly basis
Retail sales volume with constant prices increased by 1.1% in December 2019 compared with the previous month. In the same month non-food (except automotive fuel) sales increased by 2.4%, automotive fuel sales increased by 0.6%, food, drinks and tobacco sales decreased by 1.0%.
Retail turnover increased by 22.1% on annual basis
Retail turnover with current prices increased by 22.1% in December 2019 compared with the same month of previous year. In the same month food, drinks and tobacco sales increased by 19.0%, non-food (except automotive fuel) sales increased by 24.3%, automotive fuel sales increased by 20.8%.

Retail turnover with current prices increased by 1.8% in December 2019 compared with the previous month. In the same month food, drinks and tobacco sales increased by 1.2%, non-food (except automotive fuel) sales increased by 2.1%, automotive fuel sales increased by 2.3%. (ILKHA)
