135 irregular migrants caught in Istanbul, Turkey
135 irregular migrants were caught in Istanbul, the most crowded city of Turkey, on Wednesday.
The migrants, who are Bangladesh and Pakistan nationals, were transferred to provincial migration offices.
After legal processing completes, the migrants will be deported to their countries.
Turkey has traditionally been a major transit port for illegal immigrants to enter the European Union, but as Turkey has grown in wealth, it now finds itself a major focal point in illegal immigration.
According to the official reports, 454,662 irregular migrants held across the country in 2019. (ILKHA)
