European Yetim Eli makes poor students happy
The European Yetim Eli (Orphan Help), an international help organization based in Mannheim, Germany, has provided African students with stationary equipment assistance in Garissa, the capital of Garissa County, Kenya.
The European Yetim Eli is making orphans and the needy happy with relief efforts such as food and clothes aids, fresh water well projects as well as mass circumcision organizations in Africa.
The organization is continuing their relief efforts in Garissa County in order to deliver the donations made by philanthropists to the needy.
In the region, the families are living in abject poverty and people do not have proper clothes on; even they do not have shoes on their feet.
In a country where there are few educational opportunities, the importance that students give to education is remarkable. The happiness of the students, who met with bags, notebooks, pens and erasers for the first time with stationary equipment assistance by the European orphan Eli, was very touching. They are studying both Islamic and academic education at school.
Speaking about stationary equipment assistance they have provided, Serdar Şişman, volunteer representative of European Yetim Eli, said that they were continuing relief efforts with the support of philanthropists in one of the poorest region in Africa.
Şişman said: "As European Yetim Eli, we have come to a village in Garissa County. We visited schools here. We witnessed moving scenes. In schools, we saw that classrooms had no windows, while boards and rows were very old. We, as European Yetim Eli, provided the students with stationary equipment assistance. Once again, we call on the philanthropists; I hope it will be better if they provide logistical support to these people in Africa."
He thanked the benefactors who have supported the organization on relief efforts. (ILKHA)
