Economic confidence index realizes as 97.1 in Turkey
Economic confidence index, which was 96.5 in December 2019, increased by 0.6% in January 2020 to 97.1, Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) announced in a statement on Wednesday.
According to the statement, this increase in economic confidence index stemmed from the increases in consumer, services and retail trade and construction confidence indices.
Consumer confidence index increased by 0.1% and became 58.8, services confidence index increased by 2.2% and became 95.2 and retail trade confidence index increased by 2.2% and became 105.0, construction confidence index increased by 14.6% and became 78.9 in January compared to the previous month. On the other hand, real sector (manufacturing industry) confidence index decreased by 2.1% and became 106.4 in January. (ILKHA)
