Yusueli Dam reaches to 175 meter height, Pakdemirli says
Turkey's Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli said that construction work in Yusufeli Dam, which will be located 275 meters above the ground, has been completed at 72%.

Yusufeli Dam has 2,2 billion m3 storage capacity and has the largest storage capacity amongst the dams and HEPP’s that are in operation and is being constructed on Çoruh River.
Minister Pakdemirli stated that Yusufeli Dam, located 275 meters above the ground, was the world's third or fourth highest dam, and the highest dam in Turkey. The Dam will generate power at a rate of 550 megawatts. When Yusufeli Dam starts operating, we will save $ 300 million of natural gas annually. This dam will start operating in June 2021.
The minister added that the Dam would pay for itself in 7 years. (ILKHA)
