Pointing out that the perpetrators of the massacre still have not been found despite passing 8 years, Sağlam said: "The fact that the incident is not uncovered and those responsible are prevented from being prosecuted by authorities is an invitation to similar incidents to happen again. It is a great mistake to shape the understanding of justice according to the reactions of the public. The lack of political will to bring the perpetrators of the Roboski massacre to justice has caused deep damages to the sense of Justice."

He called for the launching of a full criminal investigation, in which justice would be served, saying: "It is not too late for anything yet. The public has a serious expectation on this issue. The file should be taken down from the dusty shelves, a full investigation should be launched, and all aspects of the incident should be uncovered and the perpetrators should receive the punishment they deserve."
