Iraq President ready to resign
Iraqi President Barham Salih said on Thursday that he is ready to resign from his office while the tension is deepening over the nomination of a new prime minister.

Saleh sent a letter to Parliament containing his decision that he would not give Assad Idani, the Bina coalition's candidate for prime minister, the mandate to form the government.
In the letter, Salih said he would rather resign from his office than nominating a controversial figure as prime minister.
Salih does not approve Asaad al-Eidani because protesters already reject him. (ILKHA)
