Speaking on the Human Rights Day, Erdoğan said: "We stand by all the downtrodden and wronged with all our strength wherever they are in the world. We set an example for humanity with this dignified stance of ours everywhere from Syria to Palestine to Somalia to Arakan."

Celebrating the December 10 Human Rights Day, the 71st anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Erdoğan noted that human beings possess natural rights due to their sheer existence, and added: "Violation of these rights, which start with the right to life and cover all phases of the life, constitutes the gravest oppression inflicted on human beings."

"The west’s history is full of the most serious violations of human rights"

"From America to Europe, the history of today’s West is full of the most serious violations of human rights," said the President, and continued: "There are all kinds of shameful stains, from genocide to colonialism, in the history of those who oppose our country’s legitimate fight against terror on the pretext of human rights. We don’t have any such stain either today or in the past. We stand by all the downtrodden and wronged with all our strength wherever they are in the world. We set an example for humanity with this dignified stance of ours everywhere from Syria to Palestine to Somalia to Arakan." (ILKHA)
