There is no justification for the existence of NATO, HÜDA PAR says
Commenting on the NATO Summit, HÜDA PAR pointed out that there is no justification for the existence of NATO, which has become a threat to Islamic countries.
Stressing that NATO has become an American organization acting in line with the strategies of the United States rather than protecting the interests of all member states, HÜDA PAR said: "Turkey should now question its membership and act more independently against this organization, which threatens the peace and stability of Turkey and the whole world and is under the control of the USA."
In the weekly statement on foreign agenda, HUDA PAR has also made a statement on the issues such as the Eastern Mediterranean Agreement, the Idlib massacre and fake news aimed at Muslims.
The Eastern Mediterranean Agreement
About The Eastern Mediterranean Agreement, HÜDA PAR said: " The establishment of the Eastern Mediterranean Gas Forum, which Turkey was excluded from following the US-backed military coup in Egypt, the alliance of Southern Cyprus, Greece and Egypt against Turkey, and the threats of sanctions against Turkey's activities in the Eastern Mediterranean have forced Turkey to take steps to transform energy geopolitics to its advantage. In this context, Turkish President Erdoğan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Istanbul with the Prime Minister of the Government of National Accord of Libya. Feyyad al-Sarraj, to demarcate maritime zones in the Eastern Mediterranean on an area between Turkey and Libya. This step is of great importance for Turkey ahead of the Treaty on Sea authority limitation, which Greece plans to make with Egypt. Because an agreement between Greece and Egypt would confine Turkey's territorial waters in the Mediterranean to an area of only 41 thousand square km."
Referring to the legal process initiated against Turkey after the agreement, HÜDA PAR said: "It is possible that the agreement will cause a military tension. The legal process initiated against Turkey after the agreement has weakened the chances of the problems being resolved through bilateral or multiple negotiations. In addition, the delicate balance in Libya, dominated by a two-headed administration, has turned against the Government of National Accord that signed the agreement with Turkey. A similar process was experienced when the Exclusive Economic Zone Agreement between Egypt and Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean was foiled by the military coup in Egypt."
"The tension over energy geopolitics makes the solution of the Cyprus problem essential," HÜDA PAR said and added: "However, some countries' attempts to exclude others risk turning the Mediterranean into a new battlefield. The political solution must be supported. All riparian countries should take steps to ensure fair sharing of resources and fair distribution of maritime jurisdictions through multiple negotiations."
NATO Summit
Commenting on NATO Summit, HÜDA PAR said: "The summit was held with the participation of 29 countries on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the NATO alliance. The summit final declaration highlighted the activities of China and Russia and the joint fight against terrorism. The summit, which took place in the process of discussing the alliance's functionality and losing the common security objective, once again demonstrated that the alliance is a structure that acts in the direction of the military and economic interests of the United States. The fact that for the first time the expression of " stand together against China" is included in the final declaration is concrete proof of this. The United States, which has engaged in a trade war with China, intends to include Alliance members in that war as well."
Criticizing NATO's structure, HÜDA PAR said: "NATO's institutional structure has been seriously debated by the alliance members themselves. Rather than protecting the interests of all member states, the NATO alliance has evolved into an American organization that acts in line with the strategies of the United States. The article 5 of NATO treaty, which decreed that an attack on a member state would be considered an attack on all members of the alliance has lost its validity from Turkey's perspective with the Syrian Civil War. Founded in 1949 against the socialist expansionism of the USSR, NATO has sought to establish its rationale for existence after the dissolution of the USSR on the counter-terrorism operations against the so-called ‘Islamic Terror’ produced by itself following the September 11 attacks."
However, there is no justification for the existence of NATO, which has become a threat to Islamic countries today. Turkey should now question its membership and act more independently against this organization, which threatens the peace, peace and stability of Turkey and the whole world with its existence and is under the control of the United States.
Idlib massacre
Criticizing the attacks against Idlib, HÜDA PAR said:" At least 100 people were killed in attacks on Idlib, which was declared a de-escalation zone by Turkey and Russia in 2018. Despite being a war crime, at least 50 thousand civilians were displaced in 25 days by attacks on settlements. Settlements and health centers are consciously targeted to prevent the return of civilians."
Noting that these massacres prevented the solution of the Syrian problem through political negotiation, HÜDA PAR said: "These massacres also undermine the process of drafting the new constitution. These attacks show that Russia, one of the guarantors of Idlib de-escalation zone, desires the continuation of the chaotic process. In order to end the ongoing Syrian civil war, Turkey and Iran need to take more initiative and demonstrate a strong will in favor of dialogue. A regular ceasefire, to be announced in the upcoming winter conditions, would allow the negotiation process to proceed more healthily and allow displaced civilians to return to their homes as well."
Fake news aimed at Muslims
Reminding that Infowars, which produces fake news about Muslims, is targeting Islam, HÜDA PAR stated: "A former employee of Infowars, led by far-right and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, confessed to producing anti-Islamic news. Claim that Muslims raped children, posed by fake theorist Jones, reveals the gravity of the situation. Political practices in the US and European countries, as well as propaganda of written and visual media, have strengthened right-wing populism by increasing anti-Islamism. Muslims ' lifestyles have been presented as a threat and through false reports, a perception has been created that they are committing crimes. As a result, attacks on Muslim migrants have increased and mosques have been targeted."
Calling on Islamic countries to take legal measures against these smear campaigns, HÜDA PAR added: "The aforementioned confession revealed that a smear campaign was launched against Muslims. In particular, Islamic countries and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation should take action against this smear campaign, which threatens the security of Muslims living in the USA and European countries and makes them target for attacks and they should ensure that legal measures are taken against this smear campaign."
