Erdoğan receives Kurdistan's Prime Minister Barzani
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Kurdistan Prime Minister Masrour Barzani at the Presidential Complex.
The two leaders discussed bilateral relations between Ankara and Erbil as well as other developments in the region.
"Very productive talks today with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. We made encouraging progress on a range of matters of mutual interest, including bilateral trade and regional stability," Kurdistan Prime Minister Masrour Barzani said in a statement on Twitter.
At the same time, earlier in the day, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Çavuşoğlu met with Kurdistan's Prime Minister Barzani.
Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that we agreed that PKK was a common threat to the security and stability of both sides and emphasized that we should fight together against all organizations.
"We had an in-depth political and economic discussion. Maintaining security and stability in the region is in the interest of all sides," Barzani said in a press conference following his meeting with Çavuşoğlu. (ILKHA)
