The press release, which was organized every week by the Şanlıurfa " Jerusalem Mothers Platform" in support of Palestinian Muslims, continued this week.

The 97th press release at Balıklıgöl Dergâh Mosque this week drew attention to the 'Balfour Declaration', which laid the groundwork for the establishment of the occupying zionist state on the Palestinian Territories.

Stating that 102 years have passed since the Balfour Declaration, Kazan said: "The Balfour Declaration, which issued by the United Kingdom a century ago, is the first declaration made by major state to publicly support the project that envisioned the establishment of a zionist state in the Palestinian territories. The Balfour Declaration is based on the article of the Sykes-Picot Treaty of 1916 which stipulates the establishment of an international administration in Palestine due to its holy settlement. As a result of this treaty and declaration, the League of Nations declared British Mandate rule in the Palestinian territories in 1922.

Kazan said: " During this mandate period, which lasted until 1947, the preparations of the Zionists were completed and the official occupation began in 1948 after the mandate ended. This was explained to the world as a so-called state organization and the process continued with the recognition of this so-called state by vile States. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which was founded in 1969 and whose term presidency is in Turkey, urgently needs to issue a declaration against the Zionist scoundrels and their supporters as a response to the declaration.

Stressing that the persecution started due to the promise of state to the Zionists as a result of the Balfour Declaration would only end with the planting of the Islamic banner at Masjid Al Aqsa, Kazan said:" The declaration to be issued by the 57-member organization should be in the form of sanctions, going further than condemnation. History has taught us that in this land where Islam has established justice, freedom and peace for hundreds of years, the persecution that began with the promise of a state to the despicable Zionists as a result of the Balfour Declaration will end with the planting of an Islamic banner at Masjid Al Aqsa. We need to take steps in this direction. As the Jerusalem Mothers Platform, we condemn the Balfour Declaration. We remember with respect, gratitude and mercy all of our heroic martyrs who have attained martyrdom in Palestine. We ask Almighty Allah to end the persecution, occupation and suffering."
