"Let CHP moves HUDA PAR's proposal on Kurdish issue to the parliament if it is sincere"

HUDA PAR Deputy Chairman Mehmet Hüseyin Yılmaz assessed CHP's "Kurdish Initiative" in a program he attended on Rehber TV, called on the CHP to move his party's proposals to parliament regarding the solution of the Kurdish issue and Kurdish language to be an official language in the country.

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, chief of CHP, said that Kurdish language courses will be opened within ISMEK, which is affiliated to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, and that Kurdish teachers will be given jobs in their municipalities.

Commenting on the issue of education in the mother tongue, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "The problem of education in the mother tongue can, of course, be solved. This is everyone's natural right."

"There is a Kurdish issue and the address of the solution is the Turkish Grand National Assembly, seeking a solution at the address other than this will not solve the problem," Kılıçdaroğlu added.

Calling on CHP after Kılıçdaroğlu's initiative, HUDA PAR Deputy Chairman Hüseyin Yılmaz said if the CHP is sincere, then let it move HUDA PAR's proposal regarding the Kurdish issue and removal of legal obstacles in front of Kurdish language to the parliament.

Yılmaz continued as follows:

"When the AK Party first came to power, it was not in its current position. President Erdoğan was defending the words Kurdish, Kurdistan against the CHP, the MHP on the parliamentary - showing evidence of the first parliamentary minutes.

It was the CHP who opposed it at the time. In this case, the government should consider, 'How did I lose the Kurds and the Kurdish issue to the CHP?'

It was the Kurds who carried them to power during the period of the Milli Selamet Party and the period of the Refah Party and the period when the AK Party came to power. They were devout, conservative Kurds carried them to the power, not nationalists."

"What is wrong is that the Kurdish language wants to be abused"

Yılmaz said the CHP benefited from the resulting gap because of the government's statist policies. "After July 15, the AK Party has surrendered to the state, the deep structure of the state and the system in order to maintain its own political power."

Underlining that the government pursues a paranoia around by posing a virtual issue such as statist policies, statist outlook, state indexed and sanctifying the state, the survival of the state, Yılmaz noted that the government can move away from issues of human rights, which concern the rights and laws of its own citizens and say the opposite of what it has said before.

"In such a case, politics does not accept the gap. The CHP has had its opportunity and is doing so. Is it wrong to bring up the Kurdish issue? No, it is true.  What is wrong is that the Kurdish language wants to be abused," Yılmaz said.

"The main cause of the Kurdish issue is the CHP"

Recalling that the Kurdish language was passed as an "unknown language" to the parliamentary minutes, Yılmaz argued that the CHP was playing to the crowd and that they do not think differently from the MHP at the point of granting equal citizenship rights to the Kurds.

Yılmaz stated that the main cause of the Kurdish issue is the CHP, which is the main source of the Kurdish issue, and raises such an issue politically, not in principle.

"In other words, the CHP is playing to the crowds and trying to win over the Kurds. At this point, I do not think that the CHP thinks differently than the MHP in granting the Kurds equal citizenship rights."

Citing that the CHP now, asking for 'a legal regulation to be introduced for Kurdish elective courses. Kurdish teachers should be employed,' and says it will open Kurdish courses in ISMEK, Yılmaz noted that in doing so, the CHP is trying to undo the gains that have been achieved so far in the Kurdish issue.

In the process that began after July 15, the assembly's internal charter was amended, banning the words Kurdish and Kurdistan and the Kurdish names of provinces and districts. MPs are unable to speak Kurdish in Parliament, fined if speak in Kurdish and barred from parliamentary sessions.

"Kurds do not want to assimilate; they want to remain 'Kurdish', not to be of Kurdish origin"

"Learning and teaching the Kurdish language is very important for the survival of the Kurdish language," Yılmaz said and continued as follows:

"Language is the most important tool for the survival of a nation's culture. Culture is a nation itself. A nation whose language and culture are disappearing is assimilating.

The Kurds do not want to assimilate. They want to remain 'Kurdish', not to be of Kurdish origin. That is why they want their children to be educated in their mother tongue. This does not happen with elective Kurdish courses without a non-assignee teacher.

Kurdish language classes should be compulsory in schools. In short, all the obstacles in front of the Kurdish language must be removed as soon as possible and tied to constitutional security. This is also an obligation of the state/government."

"I invite all political parties to act responsibly on the solution of the Kurdish issue"

Yılmaz called on all political parties to resolve Kurdish issue:

Politics does not accept a gap; political parties try to evaluate an existing gap and expand their base and increase their voting potential. The direction that separates HUDA PAR from the other parties is revealed here. We say that the hopes and expectations of the people should not be abused. Parties should not say words just to increase their votes.

I call on all political parties to act responsibly in solving the Kurdish issue and removing the obstacles in front of the Kurdish language.

HUDA PAR's proposals on this issue, which is also expressed in the party programme, are clear. The permanent solution is a new constitution based on fair representation and equal citizenship. We had already shared our proposals for the new constitution with the public.

I wish the CHP could be sincere about this, but it is not. HUDA PAR is not in the assembly, while CHP is in the assembly. Let the CHP move HUDA PAR's proposals to parliament regarding the solution of the Kurdish issue and Kurdish language to be an official language in the country. Let it propose the law on this issue and follow it so that we believe in its sincerity. (ILKHA)
